FCA Rube Goldberg Projects

What is a RUBE GOLDBERG Invention?  Just ask the Fellowship Christian Academy elementary students.  They can tell you because they have all experienced the frustration and joy of creating a Rube Goldberg Invention, a machine named after the famous cartoonist and inventor who created loads of these crazy contraptions.  Each one solves a simple task in a complicated way.

    

Our FCA students learned just how complicated a Rube Goldberg invention can be while incorporating simple machines into their creations that “sometimes” worked.  They popped balloons, rang a bell, captured marbles, and even pumped hand lotion!  It was all about learning how to complete a task together and manipulate all kinds of materials through trial and error.  Excitement soared as family and friends showed up to see our Rube Goldberg creations!
