Does FCA have sports teams?

Yes!  FCA participates in girls’ volleyball, basketball and tennis as well as boys’ soccer, basketball and tennis.  We are members of the MIAA.

Do you serve children on IEPs or 504 plans?

We believe that God gifts all children in different ways with varying learning styles.  Depending on specific needs we may be the right fit for your child.  It is our desire to meet the needs of all students the best we can.  The first step is to schedule a time to visit FCA for an interview and evaluation.

Does FCA use Common Core?

FCA uses a variety of high quality curriculum and teaching methods, but we do not adhere to Common Core, nor do we use state mandated standardized tests. Our focus is on providing students a solid foundation for learning by continually evaluating teaching methods and materials in order to motivate and encourage our students to achieve to their fullest potential.  Using a variety of methods including the Stanford Achievement Test we assess how well our students are learning to improve what happens in our classrooms.

What kind of Biblical instruction do you offer?

All students receive daily Bible instruction and attend a weekly chapel service.  Biblical instruction is also interwoven into each subject area.  Teachers pray with students and seek to develop godly character traits.  Additionally middle and high school students have the option to meet on Wednesdays during break time to pray for and encourage one another. This year’s theme is “Value others above yourself” based on Philippians 4:2, “not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others.”

Do you have all-day kindergarten?

Students in K4 have an 8:00-11:30 academic day and may stay for an optional enrichment time from 11:30-2:45 for an additional fee. Parents may choose the number of days per week a child stays for the enrichment program.

Students in K5 have a full academic day from 8:00-2:45.
