Mrs. Bethany Wakim
Middle & High School Music Elective
Working at FCA since 2014

Mrs. Bethany Wakim began as the 7th grade Math teacher as well as the Geometry, Consumer Math, Business Math, and Elementary Resource Teacher in 2015. She began working at FCA in 2014 as an Elementary Resource Teacher, although her time at FCA really began as a student in K5! She graduated from the school in 2010.

Mrs. Wakim is a graduate of Bob Jones University with a B.S. in Mathematics. She has also worked tutoring algebra and geometry.

Mrs. Wakim and her husband, John, live in Salem, NH. She enjoys playing piano, singing, reading, baking, hiking, and crochet.

Mrs. Wakim attends Fellowship Bible Church where she currently serves in Music Ministry, playing piano and singing. She and her husband also serve with the College and Career ministry.

Mrs. Wakim cites three passages of scripture that mean a lot to her. First is Isaiah 44:22 – “I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.”

The second is Nehemiah 9:17 – “They refused to obey and did not remember the wonders you performed among them…but You are a God of forgiveness, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and You did not forsake them.”

And third is 1 John 3:16 – “This is how we know what Love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.”

Also, the following quotes are meaningful to her:

“God cannot give us happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.” – C.S. Lewis

“If I find in myself desires which nothing in this world can satisfy, the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world.” – C. S. Lewis

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” – Albert Einstein

“You’re mad. Bonkers. Off your head. But I’ll tell you a secret: all the best people are.” – Alice in Wonderland
