Mrs. Lea Ballard
American Sign Language Teacher
Working at FCA since 2018

Ms. Lea Ballard is FCA’s American Sign Language teacher.  She previously taught this class in 2017 and we are thrilled to have her back in this position!  Lea attended the NECC Interpreting Training Program/Deaf Studies and studied Behavioral Psychology and Early Childhood Development at CVC, Community College of Vermont.  She has been an ASL interpreter since 2003, has mentored hearing families with deaf children, taught evening ASL classes to adults and homeschooled her children.

Lea lives in Hampstead, NH with her husband Calvin.  She has three children, a dog named Maple and a chipmunk that seems to think he’s part of the family!  She enjoys cooking, hiking, crafting, and snow sports.

Lea and her family attend Fellowship Bible Church where she is involved in small groups, hospitality, nursery, VBS, and the More for Moms Bible study.

“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.  And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”  Ephesians 5:1-2
